An event  usually isn't much ork to put together. So I've coded a few during some lazy sundays. They have only one purpose, to annoy you mortals so I can feel good even though I suffer from a hangover.

The Groke

The Groke has come to BatCity and she is freezing the world with her evil. And she will continue until she is banished once again. Big, grey and so cold that frost appears on the ground she soundlessly shuffles along. Occasionally she comes close to BatCity, but otherwise she is mostly heard howling from far up north.

My best event by far and also the simplest event by far. Funny how simple things can turn out to be cool:) Coded about 2002.

The Tag Event

Four portals has apperead around the clock at the central square. BatCity
is filled with joy and people from all around BatCity travel here to participate or witness the Tag Event. One player has the tag and everyone
else has to chase him inside the tag arena. Once you catch him you are the tagged player and get one point. The player with most points in the end wins a legendary weapon

Notes:

I coded the tag event around 2002. The legendary weapon is an angelic <some weapon> and I suppose it's an ok weapon. Noone seem to use them though, I think it's because Laaban has won about all of them and keep them stashed away in his collection.

The Cyclone

A mighty cyclone has swept in over the realm of BatMUD. Everyone that get get caught in the cyclone will be picked up and transfered somewhere else by the cyclones turbulent wind. The BatCity elders and weathermens think the origin of the cyclone is an evil wind magician named Toreador. Damogran belive that the wizard live in a tower that is located south from the Lord of Chaos guild. But thers says that the tower is deserted. The tower goes under the name 'The yclone tower' and is always shrouded by a cloud.

Meteor Shower

A mighty global meteor shower strikes BatMUD. Everyone is advised to stay in a basement or any other sufficient shielded place. The BatCity elders  and earth elementalists in the mage guild think the meteor shower is an evil work of an earth elementalist called Droevigger. Bayprixes belive that the wizard live in a tower that is located south from the Lord of Chaos guild. Sable has asked around among his rangers and they say that the tower is deserted. The tower however goes under the name 'Meteor Tower' and is built by meteor fragments.

Hailstorm

A mighty global hailstorm strikes BatMUD. Everyone is advised to stay in a basement or any other sufficient shielded place. The BatCity elders
and water elementalists in the mage guild think the hailstorm is an evil work of a water elementalist called Fiathiriel Clearwater. Erdwyin belive that the wizard live in a tower that is located south from the Lord of Chaos guild. Mithrandir has asked around among his druids and they say that the tower is deserted. The tower however goes under the name 'Ice tower' and is built in quartz.

Earthquake (Duke's event originally)

Continental movements have caused pressure deep in the core of batworld, creating tension which has to erupt somehow. While sometimes tension is relieved via erupting volcanoes, this time earth is shaking and occupying almost all of your attention. The cause of this is being debated in the BatCity council. All evidence points toward one mean earth elementalist called Lechart. Reddist the lord of Reavers belive that he live in a tower south of the Lord of Chaos guild. Oogga has asked around among his horde and they say that the tower is deserted.  The tower goes under the name 'Mud Tower'.
